Sergio, our Maca partner

In harsh Andean conditions nearly 15,000 feet above sea level, a small group of Peruvian farmers organically cultivates a native herb called maca. Sergio, owner of a trading company, has been guiding their efforts, showing them how to select and produce their own seeds, as well as process the plants on-site. He also secures fairer and higher crop prices that allow these villages to sustain their way of life. This is the type of partner and programs that Gaia is proud to support while sourcing our herbs.
