In harsh Andean conditions nearly 15,000 feet above sea level, a small group of Peruvian farmers organically cultivates a native herb called maca. Sergio, owner of a trading company, has been guiding their efforts, showing them how to select and produce their own seeds, as well as process the plants on-site.
