Jeremy is Gaia Herbs’ Chief Scientist; he’s been working with us since 2005. Beginning as Gaia’s staff pharmacognosist, he attended one of only two universities that offer a pharmacognosy program: University of Misssissippi (the other is University of Chicago), where he obtained his PhD. Pharmacognosy, or drug discovery from natural products, is an emerging field of study as herbal medicine regains popularity.
In 2007, Jeremy became our Chief Scientist; in charge of running our lab and making sure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) are followed. He updates and reviews standard operating procedures and maintains clear communication with all departments.
Jeremy is instrumental in the development of new product samples for clinical trials alongside of Dr. Keri Marshall. He and Ric, Gaia Herbs’ CEO, work on a consistent basis to improve processes and create products of the highest quality in accordance with Gaia Herbs’ Purity+Integrity=Potency formula.
