A Commitment to Quality

Gaia herbal supplements are made with the highest quality ingredients and produced with scientific rigor and unparalleled transparency. When you take Gaia Herbs, you're taking only the purest, most potent products.

What We Believe

Our People

Our people are our strength, and to us, they are more than workers or partners—they are family. Every member of the Gaia team plays in integral role in maintaining the integrity of our products and upholding our core values.

Our Plants

When it comes to our plants and herbs, purity, potency, and integrity are our guiding principles. We grow organically, sustainably, and intentionally. Because quality plants yield quality medicine.

Our Farm

It all starts at Gaia Farm, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. We chose the Pisgah Forest region because it is one of the most biodiverse regions in North America; here, we build an annual seed bank to begin the Gaia journey.

Connecting Plants
to People™

Since Gaia Herbs was just a seedling in 1987, founder Ric Scalzo has remained true to his original vision: connecting plants with people. He knew then what many are coming to realize now: that plants and people evolved together, that we are inextricably linked, and that plants hold the wisdom we need to heal.

Certified B Corporation

Gaia Herbs is proud to be a Certified B Corporation actively working to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

Gaia Location

Gaia Map

We chose this 350-acre plot of land, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, for its rich alluvial soil and amazing biodiversity. We grow fields of flowering Echinacea, fragrant Lemon Balm, and brilliant California Poppy, all nourished by the clear mountain waters flowing through our Certified Organic Farm. We nurture and observe each plant, allowing it to flourish in the sun until the right moment to harvest.
