Gaia Organics celebrates Gaia Herbs’ fundamental commitment to the principles of purity, integrity, and potency. Containing USDA Certified Organic Herbs, extracted with 100% Certified Organic alcohol from sugar cane, processed with Certified Organic methods, and laboratory tested for potency—they represent the closest meeting of an herb that Nature can provide.

Gaia Organics also signifies a return to our roots. While we have expanded into a wide array of medicinal herbal products over the years, our original founding focus was on highly concentrated liquid extracts—a format that is easier for the body to digest and absorb than raw plants or powdered tablets—and makes the medicinal effects of the plant more readily available to the body.

In 2010, our Liquid Herbal Extracts got a fresh new look and we introduced a new line of 100% Certified Organic Liquids. While every one of our products is analytically tested to be free of pesticide or microbial contamination and heavy metal toxicity, our long-term goal is to have the balance of our products earn an official Certified Organic classification in order to let you experience the healing power of your herbs in the purest form we can offer.

Ecologically Harvested is a term that describes all herbs sold by Gaia Herbs that are not Certified Organic. Ecologically Harvested herbs include herbs that are harvested in their natural habitat, (i.e., wild harvested) according to specific guidelines for harvesting these herbs (i.e., away from roads and industry, as well as guidelines to avoid overharvesting). Our term, Ecologically Harvested, also includes herbs that are grown in managed woodland areas, fields designated for specific herbs, and herbs that are grown by indigenous growers, such as Kava Kava. All Ecologically Harvested herbs pass pesticide and heavy metal testing as well as microbial testing, prior to release.
