Through archaeological carbon dating, it has been suggested that tea leaves were prepared in hot water thousands of years ago, making tea one of the oldest continuously consumed beverages in human history.

Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis) has been cultivated in India, China, and Japan for many centuries and has become deeply woven into the cultural traditions of each region. Today, tea is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world, second only to water.

1/2

Green Tea is produced from the unfermented leaves of the Camellia Sinensis shrub, while oolong tea undergoes partial fermentation and black tea is fully fermented. These different processing methods contribute to the distinctive flavors, aromas, colors, and natural plant compounds associated with each variety of tea.

The cultivation and appreciation of green tea have inspired entire cultural traditions, from the elaborate tea ceremonies of Japan to the historic tea houses of China.

2/2

Tea cultivation spread throughout Asia along ancient trade routes and eventually became an important commodity in global commerce.

The evergreen Camellia Sinensis plant thrives in mountainous regions with ample rainfall and rich soils, producing tender young leaves that are carefully harvested and processed. Green tea continues to be valued not only for its distinctive flavor and aroma but also for its rich history, cultural significance, and enduring role in societies around the world.
